National Family Caregivers Month
November is National Family Caregivers Month, the time of year to recognize the hard work and dedication of family caregivers across our region and across the country. Celebrating family caregivers during this time enables all of us to raise awareness of family caregiver issues, celebrate the efforts of family caregivers, educate family caregivers about self-identification, and increase support for family caregivers. To all the family caregivers out there, we say: Thank you!
Our Family Caregiver Support Program offers services and support for caregivers. Our goal is to provide caregivers with the needed support to reduce depression, anxiety, and stress and enable them to provide care longer, thereby avoiding or delaying the need for costly institutional care. For additional information on any of the Family Caregiver Support Program services, contact Amber Chapman at 828-265-5434 ext. 113 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit highcountryaging.org/servi…/family-caregiver-support-program
